Productinformation "Hadhafang Sword – Arwen’s Sword"
Material: blade made of 420 J2 hardened stainless steel; handle made of wood with metal finish
Film replica from The Lord of the Rings trilogy, based on the novels by J.R.R. Tolkien and brought to the screen by Peter Jackson.
It once belonged to the Elven princess Idril, mother of Eärendil, who is Elrond’s father. Before Arwen, Elrond himself wielded this weapon in the battle of the Last Alliance between Men and Elves against Sauron. The blade bears an inscription: aen estar Hadhafang i chathol hen, thand arod dan i thang an i arwen – which roughly translates as: This blade is called Hadhafang; a noble weapon against the cruel enemy for a noble lady. The original inscription contained another line: Idril i hel en aran Gond dolen – Idril, daughter of the king of the hidden rock (Gondolin).
This sword is a decorative piece and a collectible item.
